The dresser was in a shambles: a splintered leg, a side panel and some parts of broken up drawers. It belonged to a friend's wife. She had inherited it from her late grandmother. The question was, could I make something from it for her birthday? The walnut, well over 100 years old, was a pleasure to work with. Later, he told me she was very pleased and deeply touched.
